With its close proximity to the US border, there are thousands of Windsor-Essex residents who cross the border daily for work and education. This phenomenon makes the commuter flows in Windsor-Essex unique. This project aims to gather information on this segment of our workforce to understand our workforce mobility across the border and will also highlight unique cross-border partnerships in workforce development. The community will gain a better understanding of the impact of cross-border labour mobility and the benefits and challenges our unique situation brings.
This project falls under the Integrated Planning LEPC Pillar and has been overseen by the Employer Engagement Working Group.
