Manager of Communications & Government Partnerships
As the Manager of Communications & Government Partnerships, Justin is responsible for the development and implementation of Workforce WindsorEssex communication plan, connecting employers with government resources and leading key projects under the Local Employment Planning Council project.
In 2017-18, Justin is responsible for three key projects, including the development of an online resource to help people find and research in-demand jobs; a research study into the region’s 15-year low participation rate and helping businesses and commuters in Windsor-Essex prepare for the renegotiation of the North Amercian Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
In 2016-2017, Justin led the development and launch of the WEsearch tool that helps job-seekers and businesses find the help they need to get their next job or grow their business. As well, Justin organized the region’s first ever Workforce Summit event that brought representatives from government, education, training, employment services and business together to tackle the issue of people without jobs and jobs without people.
Between 2006-2015, Justin worked for in progressively senior operation and outreach roles in the Ontario Government for Premier Dalton McGuinty, Deputy Premier Dwight Duncan, as well as Minister John Milloy. From 2013-15, Justin managed the Windsor office of former M.P.P. Teresa Piruzza where he was responsible for operations, communications and stakeholder engagement.
More recently, Justin led organizing efforts across Southwestern Ontario for Justin Trudeau’s successful 2015 election where he was responsible for the recruitment, training, support and motivation of thousands of volunteers in a data-driven campaign that attempted to contact more than 750,000 voters in 21 ridings from Windsor to Halton Hills.
Justin and his wife Christina have two sons.
